IBM taking the next step in the WAP arena

Developers say they have found keen interest in undertaking areas of WAP such as profiling and personalizing personal data for businesses as well as business calendars. Billing and transactions also need to be private and safe in order for business markets to flourish in the WAP arena. The main concern for businesses is that WAP currently does not cater for business transactions as it does not contain the script necessary for private money wiring. Apart from that, ‘mirroring’ content for higher speed downloads is also a step that WAP hosts have to take in order to properly cater for WAP users in the international market.
